William "Eddie" Jones, longtime resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013 at his residence in Hammond at the age of 74. He was born on June 28, 1939 in McCall Creek, MS. Eddie was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed spending time with his sons, grandsons and buddies hunting and fishing. He cherished his family, and was a faithful servant to the Lord and his church, Florida Blvd Baptist Church. Eddie retired from Gulf States/Entergy after over 35 years of employment.

He will be missed by all who loved him, including his wife Marla Fuller Jones; children, Ronnie Jones and wife Peggy, Mark Jones and wife Jan, and Cinda Jones Denoux; step children, DeEtte Rabb, Archie Rabb, Gaylin Fuller and wife Carrie, Danny Fuller and wife Angie, and Brett Fuller; sisters, Edna Evans, Joy Martinez, and Elaine Martinez; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his previous wife, Lois Jones; parents, Charles and Melindy Jones; siblings, Tony, Geneva, Mildred and Dot; and grandson, John.

Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 10:00 am until the funeral service begins at 12:00 pm, officiated by Pastor Joey Beeson of Florida Blvd Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
