Richard Daniel "Danny" Bozeman, 66, of Westlake, passed away peacefully Monday night, December 8, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born October 27, 1948, in Pleasant Hill, LA to Francis and Ruth (Miles) Bozeman. He married Betty Trimm on October 13, 1972 and was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Juan Ramirez.

Surviving is his wife Betty of Westlake; two twin daughters, Wendy Jordan and husband Jason of Westlake and Cindy Elliott and husband Jeff of Humble, TX; three grandchildren, Sebastian Ramirez, Ashley Elliott and Jaydon Jordan; one sister, Bridget Stroderd of Westlake; one brother at heart, Jim Trimm of Denver, CO; one aunt, Evelyn Luck of Rowlett, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Westlake High School, he attended McNeese State University. Danny worked as an Engineer for Entergy for over 35 years before retiring and was a member of the Local I.B.E.W. He was an active softball coach in the lives of his two daughters. He and his wife loved traveling around the country. He always had her by his side. He had a lifelong love of horses and the outdoors. Racing horses was his passion.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday December 13, 2014, at Hixson Funeral Home in Westlake with visitation starting at 8:00 am until the start of service. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at the link below.
