Floyd Errol Fortenberry, 71, of Beaumont, died Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of this area, he was born on November 23, 1945. Floyd loved his GTO's, classic cars/trucks, Harley Davidsons, Triumphs and Henderson motorcycles. He especially loved spending time with his children and all his grandchildren at his favorite place, his lake house, where many memories have been created.

Survivors include his wife, Susie McCown Fortenberry; children, Sherry Sue Boudreaux and her husband, Walter, of Katy; Jason Errol Fortenberry and his wife, Michele, of Woodbridge, Virginia; Miranda Ann Priddy and her husband, Tadd, of Sour Lake; special son-in-law "#2", Jason Wayne Sechler; honorary son, Dr. Jason Earl Matherne; sisters, Joan Fortenberry McCown and her husband, Larry, of Beaumont and Jean Fortenberry Williamson and her husband, John, of Savannah, Georgia; grandchildren, Raven Grace Boudreaux, Eden Dove Boudreaux, Scarlett Jewel Boudreaux, J.T. Fortenberry, Joel Alan Fortenberry, Madison Lorre Walker, Trevin Dane Sechler, Cole Aaron Priddy, Riley Maclaine Priddy, and Raini Isabella Priddy; great-grandchildren, Ryann Lorre Fortenberry, Caysen Gabriel Fortenberry, Laelyn Grace Fortenberry, Jameson Levi Fortenberry, and Skye Lorre Walker

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edith 'Ted' Die and Floyd Fortenberry and grandparents, Markus and Cora Weeks Fortenberry and Elias and Mary Grimes Die.

A gathering of Mr. Fortenberry's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Broussard's. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery, North Nellius Street, Woodville.
