Funeral services for Freeman (FM) Jones, Jr. 74, of Longville, LA, will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017, at 3 pm at Longville Baptist Church in Longville, LA, with Rev. Stewart Graves and Rev. Johnny Johnson officiating. Services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Visitation will be Friday, May 26, 2017, from 4 pm until 8 pm and Saturday, May 27, 2017, from 12 pm until the time of service at 3 pm at Longville Baptist Church in Longville, LA.
Freeman (FM) the son of Eleanor Tatman and Freeman Jones Sr. was born on October 24, 1942 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, in Baton Rouge, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sherry Jones of Longville, LA; sons, Monty Jones (Karen) of Sulphur, LA; Ryan Vinyard (Kesslie) of Donaldsville, LA, daughters; Tish Martinez (Mike) of Sulphur, LA; Kristen Cooper (Kade) of Prairieville, LA; Teri Benoit (Tommy) of Lake Charles, LA., ten grandchildren; Mindy, Michael, Ashlyn, Alexia, Taylor, Tylee, Cayman, Dylan, Zachary, Kenzie.
Freeman (FM) and Sherry were currently living in Baton Rouge, LA. He worked for Gulf States Utilities and retired from Entergy in 1996 after 30 yrs. He loved to travel and was an avid LSU fan; he also loved spending time with his friends, family and especially his grandchildren.
