Fritz J. Duhon, Sr., of Lumberton, Texas, passed away at Christus Hospital- St. Elizabeth on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at the age of 85.

Fritz was born to Zoe and Felix Duhon, Sr., on December 12, 1932, in Kaplan, Louisiana. He graduated from French High School and served for his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as an operator at Gulf States Utilities for over 40 years. Anyone who ever met Fritz immediately liked him and loved his joking personality.

Fritz treasured his family and spent all his time watching his family grow and thrive. He was married to the love of his life, Helen. They were inseparable for 63 years. God blessed then with five beautiful children, twelve grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Felix Duhon, Jr.; and his daughter, Brenda LaRocca.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Duhon of Lumberton; daughters, Donna Price and her husband, Tommy, of Boerne, and Claudia Duhon of Beaumont; sons, Fritz J. Duhon, Jr. "Buddy" and his wife, Darla, and Felix "Paul" Duhon and his wife, Susie, all of Lumberton; grandchildren, Christopher Price, Sean Price, Savannah Price, Elise LaRocca, Erica LaRocca-Odom, Lauren Guzman, Hank LaRocca, Adam LaRocca, Dylan Duhon, Mallory Duhon, Paige Duhon, and Brooke Duhon; great-grandchildren, Cole Toomey, Zachary Broom, Riley Hooks, Bryce Hooks, Brenna Hooks, Levi Broom, Wyatt Odom, Hudson Odom, Braden Guzman, Christian Guzman, Jace Guzman, Cameron Guzman, Sofia LaRocca, Henry LaRocca IV "Cruz", and Avery Duhon; brother, Morris Duhon of Lake Charles, Louisiana; sister, Patty Rabb of Beaumont; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of Mr. Duhon's family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2018, at Infant Jesus Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 243 South LHS Drive, Lumberton. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
