Joseph "Jimmy" Delahoussaye, 75, of Beaumont, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. He fought a long courageous battle with pancreatic cancer and pulmonary fibrosis.

He was born on March 16, 1945 to Paula Reaux Delahoussaye and Otis Delahoussaye in New Iberia, Louisiana. Jimmy had a long-time accounting career with Gulf States Utilities/Entergy. He served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. Jimmy earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette. He went on to earn a master's degree in Business Administration from Lamar University. He always loved working with numbers.

Jimmy enjoyed traveling, reading, computers and gadgets, monitoring the stock market, his wife's cooking, and spending time with his family. His grandchildren and great-granddaughters gave him great joy.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Merline Meaux Delahoussaye; his daughter, Jennifer Hunteman and husband Greg and grandchildren, Emily, Lauren, and Ethan Hunteman; daughter, Regina Baldwin and husband Robert and grandchildren, Brittini Bourque-Grillo and husband Mason, Lindsie Long and husband Aaron, and Kourtney Baldwin, great-grandchildren, Jaidyn and Laikynn Grillo; his brother-in-law Nelson Romero; and his nephew Brent Romero and wife Erin; sister in laws, Betty Meaux and husband Randy, Anna Cessac; brother in law, Lester Meaux and wife Cheryl, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Maudry Romero; his brother, Chris Delahoussaye; and his parents in law, Thomas and Leona Meaux.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Heart of Hospice and its amazing staff.

Visitation services will be held at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, 766 S Main St. Lumberton, TX 77657 on Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 4:00PM-7:00PM, with a rosary from 5:30Pm-6:00PM and Monday, January 11, 2021 from 8:00-9:30AM.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5075 Bigner Rd. Beaumont, TX 77708 on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine St. Beaumont, TX 77703.
