Patti Sapia Bourgeois, of Marrero, Louisiana passed away on December 9th, 2023 leaving behind a legacy of unwavering love for her family and innumerable wonderful memories for all those lucky enough to have known her.

Patti was born in New Orleans in 1957 and was raised, along with her sister Lori, by her parents Elizabeth "Gloria" Sapia and Jerry J. Sapia in Marrero. Patti graduated from LW Higgins High School in 1975 and enjoyed a long career with Entergy. She married the love of her life, Ronald Bourgeois, on May 11th, 1996. They lived happily in Marrero where Patti enjoyed her life as a devoted wife, loving mother, dear sister, proud Maw-Maw and true friend to many.

Patti will be remembered forever by her loving husband Ronald Bourgeois, her son Matt Glynn (Elysia), stepdaughter Jessica Bourgeois (Mark), her sister Lori Becnel and brother-in-law Farrel Becnel, granddaughters Annie and Callie Glynn, grandson Payton Boggs, niece Ali Solino (Adam), and great-nephews Elliott and Hayes Solino.

A talented crafter and wreathmaker, Patti used her gifts to bring color and joy to everyone around her, and her creations will brighten our world for years to come. Crafting, for Patti was a family affair as she shared this hobby with her sister Lori. Her biggest fans Annie and Callie have inherited Patti s love for creating beautiful things and hope to follow in their Maw-Maw's footsteps, as well.

As a lover of music, and member of several crafting clubs and communities, Patti was a friend to many. Whether at a craft show or BTS meet-up, her vibrant energy, cheetah print outfits, and true passion for life made her a true joy to encounter. The world is a brighter place having had Patti in it, and the poise and gratitude with which she led her life will endure through all the lives she touched along the way.
