Robert A. "Bob" Smith was called home to be with his Savior on Thursday, December 14, 2023. He was born on December 25, 1942 in Manhattan, KS.

He moved to Baton Rouge, LA to continue his education at LSU and began working for Entergy.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Sterl and Genevieve Smith; son, Jason A. Smith; and brother-in-law, David E. Hamilton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia "Penny" Smith; sister, Jeanie Wingo; sisters-in-law, Marilyn and Nancy Hamilton; and nephew, Scott Wingo and wife Amy.

Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 10 am until funeral at 11 am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
