Edward Kopp

A former longtime Baker resident and a native of Hackensack, New Jersey, he passed away at 8:57 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 86, a U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II, and retired from Gulf States Utilities with 37 years of service.

Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 5-7 p.m., and on Monday, December 10, 2012 from 8 a.m. until religious services in the chapel at 10 a.m., conducted by Rev. Chris Kopp. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Survived by wife, Lois E. Kopp; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and John Stafford; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Barbara Kopp, and Thomas and Lisa Kopp; a brother, Bill Kopp; 11 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, William Henry Kopp; and his mother, Eleanor Case Kopp. Pallbearers will be Greg Kopp, Jason Kopp, Robert Kopp, Tommy Kopp, Justin Stafford, and Thomas Kopp. Edward was a member of Christian Life Church.
