Lourey J. "Pete" St. Pierre, Sr. passed away peacefully at home Friday, August 24, 2012 at the age of 88.

Mr. St. Pierre was retired from Gulf States Utilities, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a Three Palm Eagle Scout.

He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ann and David Eells, Frances Marie "Fran" and Jim Miller, Jeanne and Rodney Stickels, Claire Brown, Donna and Tony Dentro, Denise and Leo Riley, Renee and John Mason, Cathy and Donald Henderson and Jan and Mark Hebert; sons and daughters-in-law, Pete and Doris St. Pierre, Gerard and Denise St. Pierre, Kenneth St. Pierre, and Richard and Jane St. Pierre; 40 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchildAlso survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Hubert and Yvonne St. Pierre, and Ronald and Yolande St. Pierre.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Myrtle Lusk St. Pierre; a son, Thomas St. Pierre and a daughter, Mary Elizabeth St. Pierre; parents, Denise J. St. Pierre and Odette Bossier St. Pierre.

Visitation Monday August, 27, 2012 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation resumes Tuesday August 28, 2012 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Father Mike Moroney, internment to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Pallbearers will be Ray "Man" Little, Tommy Kent, Mike Kent, Aaron Dentro, Adam Henderson, Joey St. Pierre, Darren St. Pierre, Dustin St. Pierre and honorary pallbearer, Donald Henderson. Mr. St. Pierre was active with the St. Vincent DePaul Society, the Baton Rouge Food Bank, the Knights of Columbus and his church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the many caretakers with a special thanks to Generations Hospice in Watson.
Retired July 1, 1980.
Passed Away August 24, 2012.
