Kenneth Wayne Wolfe, 62, a devoted husband to his wife of 44 years, Dorothy Wolfe, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013. He was a native of Metairie, LA and
a resident of Central, LA. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Kenneth earned the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal (2nd award), and Expert Rifleman. He retired after 35 years as an electrical engineer at Gulf States/ENTERGY. He was a Red Cross volunteer for 35 years, Ham radio operator KG5PV, NRA member and motorcycle enthusiast. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Wolfe; daughters Jennifer Wolfe Hunnicutt and husband Mike Goetzman and Dawn Wolfe Brown and husband David; son Kevin Wolfe and wife Beth, and son-in-law Chester Hunnicutt; grandchildren: Stormy Hunnicutt, Patrick Brown, and Gretchen Brown; sisters: Hazel "Tink" Varnado, Lisa Autin, and Christina Guidry; and brothers: James Wolfe and Gerald Wolfe. He is preceded in death by his parents Roy Garmeson and Lois M. Garmeson and Leonard and Estelle Marlborough; brothers: Donald F. Wolfe and Roy "Rocky" Garmeson Jr.; sisters: Susan C. Halker and Karen Anders. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Sunday, June 23, 2013 from 5pm until 8pm and continuing on Monday, June 24, 2013 from 12pm until time of service at 2pm. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Services will be conducted by Pastor Terry Lobell. Pallbearers will be Mike Goetzman, Chester Hunnicutt, David Brown, Walter Freeman, Leonard Marlborough Jr., and Kevin Marlborough. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Signorino and Charles Smith. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Ochsner Hospital ICU department for their compassion and care. |
