Joel A. Moore
A native of Houston and a resident of the area for most of his life, Joel was a retired information systems manager with Gulf States Utilities, after thirty-five years of service. He graduated from South Park High in 1956 and attended Lamar University. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Peggie Moore of Lumberton; two sons, David Moore and his wife Michele, and Gary Moore and his wife Kelly all of Beaumont; daughter, Kelly Ann Moore of Kountze; six grandchildren, Allison Ruiz, Sarah Moore, Natalie Cardona, Stephanie Cordona, Gavin Moore, Andrea Moore; and nephew, Philip Stutz. Joel was preceded in death by his parents, Artie and Margaret Moore; and sister, JoAnn Stutz Davey.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2007 at the mortuary.
