A native of Morton, MS and a resident of Watson he passed away, due to lung disease, at 1:45am at his home on Friday, February 28, 2014. He was 76 years old and was a retired industrial mechanic with Entergy Corporation.

Visitation will be at Judson Baptist Church, in Walker, LA, from 5:00pm until 9:00pm on Monday, March 3, 2014. Visitation will resume at Judson Baptist Church at 10:00am until funeral service at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Funeral service will be conducted by Dr. David Lane and Reverend William Kitchings.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joy Kitchings Tadlock; daughter, Suzanne Tadlock McChristian & husband Justin, and their children, Brady McChristian & wife Brooke, and Blake McChristian; son, Arthur Ray Tadlock & fiancé Mary Perkins, and their children, Dacota, Patrick, Wyatt & Connor; sisters, Laverne Layton, Jewel Risher, Benell Ramsdell and Sarah Franklin; brothers, Neal Tadlock, Leon Tadlock, Roger Tadlock and Oscar Tadlock; and brothers in law, Reverend William Kitchings, Braxton Kitchings and Dr. Jerry Kitchings. He is preceded in death by his parents, A.P. and Lillian Tadlock; sister, Eddie Mae Ballard; and brother, Arthur Tadlock. Pallbearers will be Brady McChristian, Blake McChristian, Dacota Tadlock, Patrick Choate, Neal Tadlock, Bill Kitchings, Kurt Allen, and Jeff Lege. His greatest loves were his family and gardening. He was previously an ordained Southern Baptist Deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was the greatest dad and grandpa and took great joy in spending time with his grandsons, Brady, Blake, and Dacota. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. "The time is here for me to leave this life. I have done my best in the race.
