Lloyd John Frederick, 87, of Lake Charles passed away Friday, March 07, 2014 in Baton Rouge, LA.

Mr. Frederick was born in Abbeville, LA and made Lake Charles his home for more than sixty years. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict as a Military Policeman and as a sales clerk at the Disposition Center in Luzon, Philippines. He worked as a Lineman for Gulf States Utilities, retiring after thirty years of service as a Service Supervisor. He coached Little League baseball for many years. After retiring, Mr. Frederick became an avid Golfer and played regularly at Frasch Park Golf Course. He enjoyed weekly Bridge games.

He leaves to honor his memory, four children, Lloyd John Frederick, Jr. of Houston, TX: Pam Williamson and husband Terry of Sulphur, David Frederick and wife Sandy of Ruston, and Lee Anne Frederick of Baton Rouge; twelve grandchildren eleven great-grandchildren, and one on the way. He is also survived by his sister, Eura Mobley of Angleton, TX.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty four years, Edna Doucet Frederick; parents, Felix and Edea Broussard Frederick and two sisters, Maydell Coates and Cecile Newman.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Monsignor James Gaddy will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Monday will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 6:30 PM. Visitation Tuesday will be from 8:00 AM until 9:45 AM in the funeral home.

Pallbearers for the service will be Brian, Michael and Scott Williamson, Ross and Carter Frederick, Kaitlyn and Hunter Wimberly and David and Aaron Frederick.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Karo and the staff of Promise Hospital in Baton Rouge for their compassionate care during their Father s stay.
