Boyd Eisworth, age 86, resident of Greenwell Springs, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Boyd was a long-time employee of Gulf States Utilities Company. He dearly loved his wife, daughters and grandchildren. He enjoyed a simple life, especially spending time with family and friends. Boyd was an avid gardener and passionately loved fishing at Bayou Pigeon and Grand Isle.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Emma Davis Eisworth; parents, Shell and Lessie Eisworth; step mother Eva Jackson Eisworth; granddaughter, Melanie Amedee; brothers, Louie Eisworth, Ray Eisworth and Leroy Eisworth; sisters, Georgia Fountain, Annie Fugler, Axie Morris, and Gladys Guidroz; step brothers, Willie Jackson, Glenn Jackson, Clarence Jackson, Aubry Jackson, and Zalvia Jackson; and step sisters, Myrtie Shanks, and Dorothy Festervan.

Boyd is survived by his four daughters, Karen Eisworth Amedee and husband Mike, Janet Eisworth Bonnin and husband John, Brenda Eisworth Tison, and Sandra Eisworth; four grandchildren, Stephanie Amedee Dunn and husband Mark, Jeffrey Bonnin, John Michael Bonnin and Joseph Bonnin; and two sisters, Iris Dunlap and Viola Simoneaux.

Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home on his birthday, Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 11:00 am until the funeral service begins at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
