Alvin L. "Bully" Dragg, a native of Lake, LA and resident of Gonzales, LA, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the age of 83.

Bully Served on the Baton Rouge Port Commission from August 1984 until October 2012. He served as president from October 1988 until October 2009. He also served as City Councilman of Gonzales for 21 years, beginning in July of 1980 until 2001. Alvin was also a Navy Veteran and was a member of the American Legion.

Bully is survived by his sisters, Polly Gautreaux, and husband, Terry, Rowena Gautreau, all of Gonzales, LA; grandson, Tommy Jones of Rush, KY. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary "Pye" Dragg; daughter, Candace Dragg Sarvis; parents, Sanford and Julia Dragg; granddaughter, Mary Louise Jones; brother, Alex Dragg; sister, Evelyn Gabrielson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 30, 2016 at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church from 8:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will immediately follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memories in Gonzales. Gary Herbert, Barney Arceneaux, Galen Gautreaux, Dale Gautreaux, Johnny Berthelot, Randy Gautreau, Mike Stafford, Tom Maynard, Louis Stafford will serve as pallbearers.
