The funeral for Calvin Thomas will be held June 17, 2016 at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3015 N. MacGregor Way, in Houston. He was a deacon at Good Hope Baptist Church. Visitation starts there from 5 to 6:30 pm followed by Calvin's fraternity performing a ceremony from 6:30 to 6:45 pm. The funeral service begins after that.

Calvin worked for GSU/Entergy for 15 years:

• Supervisor, Customer Accounting: 1989 – 1994
• Senior Accountant - Power, Plant and Engineering Department: 1986 – 1989
• Budget Analyst: 1979 – 1986
