George Ann LaGrappe, 78, of Beaumont, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016. She was born September 8, 1937 in Beaumont, Texas to George Horace and Alta Ann Branham.

George Ann volunteered at the McFaddin-Ward House for 28 years. She was devoted in her service to the museum, logging in the largest number of hours of any volunteer on record. George Ann served in numerous positions on the museum's Volunteer Service Council and was president of the group in 2000. She was also a member of the museum's staff for nearly 20 years.

George Ann was a member of Own a Book Club, one of Beaumont's oldest, on-going book clubs. She served in several offices with the group and was president of the club several times in recent years.

Survivors include her husband, Calvin LaGrappe of Beaumont; sons, Dana Smith of Austin, Greg Smith and his wife Charla of Georgetown; daughters, Heidi Schneider and her husband George of Alvin, Scarlett Arias and her husband Robert of Pearland; step daughters, Mari Quilio and her husband Mike of New Jersey, Michelle Singletary and her husband Shane of Port Arthur; Sister, Sharon McClellen and her husband Delmon of Portland, TX; grandchildren, Lindsey Sandoval, Abigayle Arias, Zachary Arias, Luke Arias; great grandchild, Clementine Sandoval.

The family will receive friends at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 6 - 8 PM. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
