Jimmy David Spurlock, 78, of Woodville, passed away, June 10, 2019 at his residence after a two year battle with non small cell lung cancer.

A Gathering of friends and family from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. with a Celebration of Life. Services to begin at 6:00 P.M, Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Stringer & Griffin Chapel in Woodville. Officiating will be Mary E. Riley, C.L.M. of Cade Memorial UMC and Brother Charlie Strength.

Jimmy was born March 10, 1941, to JD & Annie Mae Kirkland Spurlock in Woodville. He was a lifelong resident of Tyler County and was a retired Lineman/Foreman from Gulf States Utilities/Entergy. He was a member of Chester Lions Club and Masonic Lodge #495. He was a honest caring man who loved his family and excelled as a recognized outdoorsman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, JD & Annie Mae Spurlock; sister, Jennie Dale Spurlock Hein.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Karen Spurlock of Woodville; daughters, Janet Spurlock and Brenda Spurlock & husband, Don McMillan all of Woodville; brother, Jerry Spurlock of Bullard; and grandchildren, Brandi Pfleider and Christopher Allen, Chealse (C.D.) McMillan, Cory McMillan & wife, Jennifer, Cady McMillan & Donovan McMillan.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
