David was one of a kind. He always said what he meant and meant what he said. His grandbabies were his life. You never saw him without one if not as many as he could squeeze into his truck. He loved his family, & loved to give his kids a hard time any chance he could get. And the stories he could tell! He was Born in Beaumont, TX and was a lifetime resident of the City of Vidor. He is survived by the love of his life Lisa Roberts of Mauriceville, & 10 children: Melody & Ron Wood of Crosby & their children Tara & Bryan Amberger, and their two kids Savannah & Stacey of Nederland, Chris Wood & his daughter Juilet Fagan-Wood of Crosby, and Kevin Wood of Crosby. Michael Carter of Vidor & his son Michael Carter Jr. Shane & Katy Carter of Vidor & their kids Rebecca & Taylor Fontaine of Vidor with their children Liam and Easton, Jason & Taylor Carter of Nederland with their son William, Cameron, & Annabelle. Jamie Carter with his children Zachary, Alora, James & Olivia. Lori & Ernest Deshotel from Rose City and their children Tiffany, Courtney, & Timothy. Dawn Carter of Vidor & her children Colbi, Dokota, & Keylee. Bonnie Carter of Vidor and children Petunia & Beau. Terry & Coy Carter of Vidor. Ryan & Amanda Carter Of Vidor & their children Ashlyn, Blake, & Landen. John & Krystina Carter from Vidor & their kids Gavin, Claire, & Hunter. Also Survived by his grandchildren Madison & Warren Carter of Sulphur, LA and Colton & Peyton Carter of Rosharon, TX. Nephew Jack & Robbin Pennington of Anahuac. As well as 8 Brothers & sisters: Wayne & Suzanne Carter of Vidor, Ray & Beth Carter of Keller, TX, Sue & Mike Harrison of Trinity, Tony & Lisa Carter of Spring, Tina Hawkins of Sulphur, Robert Carter Of Kuwait, and Dottie & Frank Ramirez of Beaumont. Along with tons of nieces, nephews, & cousins. Proceeded in death by his parents Jack & Maxine Carter, brothers Charles & Carol Carter, sister Ruth Ann Mabry, son Cody Carter, & grandchildren Troy & Wyatt Carter.
