Earl Edward Bowlin left his earthly home on Monday, October 9, 2023, at his residence at the age of 95. He was born February 17, 1928, in New Orleans, LA.

Earl was a Private First Class in the US Army in 1947. After 49 years of service, he retired from Gulf State Utilities in 1991.

He is survived by his daughters, Kristi Langlois (John) and Michele Kirkpatrick; grandchildren, Brittany Townsend (Austin), Tyler Bowlin, Cole and John Kirkpatrick; and great-grandchildren, Colton, Cali and Carli Townsend, and Jack and Nilah Bowlin.

Earl is preceded in death by wife, Jackie Colvin Bowlin; son, Jack Edward Bowlin; parents, Harvey and Myrtis Bowlin; brothers, James, Harold and Willie Harvey, Jr.; and longtime companion, Margaret "Rita" LaCaze.

Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 12:30pm until the time of funeral services at 2pm. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Pall bearers are John Langlois, Austin Townsend, Colton Townsend, Trent Boyd, Joey Ory and William "Bill" Boyd.
