With great sorrow the Dell, Faulkner, Tuminello, & Palmisano families announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend George Earl Dell, lovingly known as Poppa . George passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, at the age of 74 surrounded by family in a room overflowing with love. His spirit, kindness and unconditional love could be felt by all of those who knew him, and he will be missed dearly. He was born on July 14, 1949, in Baton Rouge, LA, but spent a large part of his life at his cherished family home in Greenwell Springs, LA.

George is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Carolyn P. Dell, and their three daughters and spouses, Becky & Steve Faulkner, Amy & Joey Tuminello, and Julie & Michael Palmisano. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Alex, Zachary, Noah, & Sarah Faulkner, Daniel Dell II, Ashley, Allison, & Olivia Tuminello, and Jackson, Bradley, Harper, & Avery Palmisano and 2 great grandchildren, Rowan & Kasen Tuminello.

George proudly retired with over 40 years of service from Entergy where he worked his way up the ranks from starting as a lineman with Gulf States in his early twenties. George was a true family man at heart, a very proud father and grandfather and frequently said the words "I love you" to those close to him. As a young family George and Carolyn started camping and passed that love on to their children and their families. Later in life George joined in on camping trips and family vacations as much as possible with his children's families and loved ones. George loved spending his time in his nearly 1-acre park like yard and he was so proud of it. George also fulfilled his dream of building a camp on the river after retirement.

Tragedy struck George's family with the death of his only son Daniel Joseph Dell in 2001 and knowing they are now reunited in eternity is the greatest comfort of all.

Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask that memorial donations be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association at act.alz.org.

John 11:25-26

"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die".
