Samuel "Sam" Owen Schluter, 75, a resident of Zachary and born in Walla Walla, WA, went to his heavenly home on November 14, 2024. He retired from Gulf States Utilities (Entergy) with 26 years of service. Visiting will be on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., from 8:00 am until service time at 11:00 am conducted by Fr. Lamar Partin. Burial will follow in Azalea Rest Cemetery, Zachary. Sam is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Bonnie Bordelon Schluter, daughter, Bridget Schluter-Rivera (Jayson) of Elkton, KY, son, Ryan Schluter of Zachary and brother, John Schluter (Pat) of The Dalles, OR. He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Dora Schluter and brothers, David, Darrell and Richard Schluter. Sam enjoyed being with his family and friends. His favorite TV shows were M.A.S.
