Susan Ann Buford, 72, of Moss Bluff, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025 in Lake Charles. Her visitation will be Wednesday, February 26, from 4-8pm, with a rosary at 6:00, at Heritage Funeral Home. A Memorial Mass will be Thursday, February 27, at 10am at St. Theodore Catholic Church. Father Charles McMillin will officiate.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Sara Peshoff & husband Ricky of Moss Bluff; three grandchildren, Haden Peshoff, Chloe Peshoff, and Maddox Peshoff; two sisters, Connie Eades of Ragley and Debbie Duraso of Ragley; brother Andy Buford of Ragley; and a host of family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond & Ida Buford; and two nieces, Carrie and Wendy Eades.

Susan's GSU career and beyond:

Susan worked as a secretary in GSU's Lake Charles downtown office and was promoted over time becoming Executive Assistant for Ted Meinscher who was the GSU Vice President over Southwest Louisiana. Susan worked for GSU and Entergy 18 years and then chose to move on and began a new career at Northrup Grumman and quickly moved up to Executive Assistant for the Vice President Production Operations and Lake Charles Site Manager for Northrup Grumman in Lake Charles.
