Glenn Michael "Mike" Sealy, 52, a resident of Beaumont for 23 years, left to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 5, 2003, in his mother's home surrounded by loved ones. Mike had cancer. He was born on August 17, 1950, in Dallas, Texas, to Glenn E. and Evelyne Sealy.

Mike was a 1969 graduate of Brazosport High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Texas in 1973 and enjoyed attending Longhorn athletic events with his family.

For the past 30 years, he worked for Entergy (formerly Gulf States Utilities) in the Human Resources Department, most recently as Manager of Human Resources for Entergy Arkansas. He was involved in a wide variety of youth sports and activities. He coached teams with Spindletop Youth Soccer Association, Amelia Little League and the YMCA. He was also a Sunday school teacher and summer camp counselor at Calvary Baptist Church. Prior to relocating to Arkansas, he dedicated countless hours to working on Calvary's annual Christmas pageant. Mike was very devoted to his faith, family and friends, always willing to help out wherever needed. He was a generous person who touched the lives of those around him.

He was preceded in death by his father Glenn E. Sealy; brothers Douglas Sealy and Roger Sealy; maternal grandparents Frank and Helen Davis; paternal grandparents Jim and Lila Sealy.

Mike leaves behind a wife of 31 years , Sharon of Little Rock, Arkansas; two sons, Jared and Shane, both of Austin; his mother Evelyne and stepfather Jim Demland of Clute; a brother, Randy Sealy and wife Rhonda of Houston; sister Melody Rader and husband Kirby of Victoria; sister Kristle Kersten of Jones Creek; stepbrother Michael Demland and wife Bonnie of Lake Jackson; stepbrother Donnie Demland of Lake Jackson; stepsister Debbie Bartek and husband Alvin of Lake Jackson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mike will be missed by us all.
