Rudolph Joseph "R.J." Stout, Jr., 92, of Beaumont, passed away in Baptist Southeast Texas Hospital on Saturday, January 17, 2026. He was born on August 27, 1933, the youngest of five siblings to parents Annie and R.J. Stout, both from southern Louisiana.

R.J., a lifelong resident of Beaumont, graduated from Beaumont High School class of 1952 and attended Lamar University where he studied engineering. He served in the army for two years and was a Director of the Beaumont Northwest Lions Club. He faithfully worked at the church daily doing whatever tasks that needed to be accomplished, and he will be missed by everyone at the church.

R.J. and Peggie enjoyed traveling together with Peggie's brother, Pat, and his wife, Shirley. They enjoyed spending time at the lake with the Bullard family. He loved watching the news and the Aggies play sporting events. He was very intelligent and knowledgeable on what was going on in the world.

Gentle, softspoken and kindness are some attributes that commonly come to mind from people who interacted with him. He loved his family, his country and the Lord.

Survivors include his daughter, Pamela Biscamp Forrest; and granddaughter, Ashley Elizabeth Forrest; sisters-in-law and brothers-in law, Linda and Paul Bullard, of College Station; Shirley Bullard, of Marble Falls; Debra Bullard, of Tomball; Perri and Ken Cook of Leesburg, Florida; nieces and nephews, Grace Harden Fanett; Rodney Stout and Sharon Stout; Roger Menefee and his wife, Becky; Debbie Menefee Ethridge and her husband, Dale; and Nancy Budd Pattie and her husband, Joe; great-nieces and nephews, Michelle Clark, Christy Smith, Eddie Clark, Erik Ethridge, Kelly Coleman, Lindsey Burch, Stacy Wiley, Cindy Speer, Lesley Hargraves, Ciera Pattie, and Chet Menefee.
