Andrea "Wylene" Ronning Duncan, 67, passed away on March 15, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 10, 1959, Wylene lived a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering faith. She was a devoted member of the Crystal Beach Church of Christ, where she cherished her church family and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Wylene had a deep love for the beach; it was her happy place. She was an avid beachcomber who found joy in searching for treasures like seashells, shark s teeth, and especially colorful pieces of beach glass. She could spend countless hours walking the shoreline, always on the lookout for something unique, nothing was ever off limits, and her stories from those adventures brought laughter to everyone around her. She had a heart for animals and never turned away one in need. From her beloved fur babies, Gigi, Sophie, and Gracie, to fostering kittens and even caring for baby birds, her compassion knew no bounds. Wylene loved being surrounded by people. Time spent with family and friends meant everything to her, the more the merrier. She enjoyed playing games and was a fierce competitor, especially when it came to Wahoo, Farkle, and ladder golf. Her grandchildren always knew she would be up for playing any game they wanted, a simple joy that meant so much to them and to her. She was also a big music lover and especially enjoyed Willie Nelson and Jimmy Buffett, attending several of their concerts over the years. She proudly counted herself among the "Parrot Heads," embracing the fun, laid-back spirit that she loved so much. Wylene was a dedicated and hardworking woman. She was the owner of Gaberdine's Dollar Store and spent over 20 years working at Gulf States Utilities. She also proudly served her community alongside her husband through the Crystal Beach Volunteer Fire Department, where she served as secretary while her husband, Bruce, served as president, a role they both took great pride in. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith that will live on in all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Bruce Duncan; her children, Keith Duncan and wife Melissa, and Summer Fasulo and husband Ricky; her cherished grandchildren, Allison, Tyler, and Jackson; her beloved fur babies, Gigi, Sophie, and Gracie; and many other family members and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Dale Ronning; her mother, Earline Maria Frederick; and her brothers, Larry Wayne Ronning, Jeffery "Lynn" Ronning, and Bobby Frederick. A memorial service will be held at a later date for family members. "Well done, good and faithful servant." Her footprints may have faded from the sand, but her love will remain forever in our hearts. | |||||
