Bob Chapman
He attended Southwestern University and earned an electrical engineering degree. Bob was employed by both Gulf States and Petrocon and retired after forty years of service. He was a member of Westgate Memorial Baptist church for forty years.
He married the love of his life, Jo Ann Hutchinson on April 3, 1957. They had two daughters, Kim Lawrence and Nicole Hawthorne. He was the proud grandfather of Joshua Lawrence and Kaley Karr.
Bob fought a hard fight against acute leukemia and gave it his all. He meant the world to his family and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann; daughters, Kim Lawrence and Nicole Hawthorne; grandchildren, Joshua Lawrence and Kaley Karr; sister, Joan Yates; and his beloved canine, Mr. Hutch.
His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2009 at Westgate Memorial Baptist Church with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Broussard’s.
