JoAnne Landry

Jo Anne M. Landry, 73, of Beaumont, was born November 18, 1935 in Port Arthur, Texas, the daughter of the late Erma Lois (Kilbourne) and Joe Matus. She passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the home of her nephew Jay Jost and wife Kathy in Lufkin. Mrs. Landry resided in Beaumont until her evacuation from Hurricane Ike in September, 2008. She was a retired executive secretary of Gulf States Utilities in Beaumont, and a longtime member of Ridgewood Church of Christ in Beaumont. Mrs. Landry is survived by her nephews and wives, Jay and Kathy Jost of Lufkin and Ronny and Pat New of Kerrville, Texas; great nephews, John Jost of College Station, Michael Jost of Austin, Aaron Douglas of Anchorage, Alaska, Brent New of Georgetown and Shane New of Austin; as well as a number of great-great nephews; and longtime friend, Francis Falgout of New Iberia, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cyril Landry; parents, Joe and Erma Matus of Port Arthur; and sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Harry Jost. Graveside services for Mrs. Landry will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Port Arthur. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the graveside.
