We got bad news from M. D. Anderson today.

After 7 years of surgery and various treatments, they have advised us that they have run out of options for my treatment and they advised us to work with a Hospice outfit for the upcoming months (years?). They gave us names of good Hospice organizations and they have already been contacted.

Vera is taking it very well because we have been expecting this for some time. She has wonderful neighbors on both side of our place who are continually helping us (they are 10 to 25 years younger than we) so she will be OK. Besides, our son, Steve, is only 200 miles away in Dallas and he comes down whenever he's needed.

It has been a long battle but I don't think 82-years of age is a bad record. Maybe now that I'll get no more chemo, my hair will grow back again. Here's a pic of my current "do".
