Walter Wright, born in Greenville, OH, and a resident of Baton Rouge passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017. He was born to Chester and Mettie Wright on October 28, 1931.

Walter is survived by his wife, Carolyn Miller Wright, two sons, Dennis and wife Peggy of Fort Worth, TX and David of Houston, TX, brother Keith of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and numerous nieces and nephews.

After serving in the US Air Force in Korea, Wally received his degree in Journalism from Michigan State University. Walter worked for many years with Gulf States Utilities.

Always a smile on his face, Walter never met a stranger. He loved repairing any broken lawn mowers! The neighbors always enjoyed Saturday Bar B Ques at the Wright's house. Walter was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home 11000 Florida Boulevard on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 1pm until Religious service at 3pm in Rabenhorst Funeral Home Chapel.
