A native and resident of Central went to be home with the Lord on January 5, 2024 at the age of 64. Don was retired from Gulf States/Entergy where he worked for 40 years. He also worked at the EBR Sheriff's Office for 23 years; where he eventually retired as a Lieutenant. Don was very active in amateur ham radio and volunteer work. He also enjoyed eagle scouting and fishing with his family and friends.

Don is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cathy Tullier Fauntleroy; daughters, Christina Martin (Ryan), Melissa Fauntleroy, and Ashley LeBlanc (Patrick); grand-children, Aeris Leblanc, Walter Martin, and Everett Martin; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Hezzie and Dorothy Browning Fauntleroy; his sister, Didi Fauntleroy; and his grand-daughter, Ivana Martin.

Visitation will be held at Central Funeral Home on Sunday, January 14 from 5PM to 9PM. Visitation will resume at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Greenwell Springs Rd on Monday, January 15 from 9:30AM to 11AM; with mass beginning at 11AM. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.

The family wants to thank family and friends for their prayers. Also, a special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice and their wonderful staff.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Martin, Patrick LeBlanc, Aaron Kean, Lester Roberts, Sid McAllister and Daniel Sonnier.
