David Coates entered into eternal rest at his residence in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Thursday, April 18, 2024. He was a 78-year old native of Slaughter, Louisiana.

Celebration of Life Service at Little Rock Baptist Church, Slaughter, on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 10:00 am conducted by Pastor Marvin Moore; interment at Southern Memorial Mausoleum.

Survived by his wife, Ruthie Coates; other relatives and friends. Arrangements entrusted to Miller & Daughter Mortuary.
