Jack E. Strickland, 78, of San Antonio died Monday, March 29, 2010 at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital in San Antonio, TX. A native of Beaumont, he lived in Vidor for 40 years before moving to San Antonio one year ago. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors since 1970. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Woodville, TX. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. Jack is survived by his wife Jean Strickland of San Antonio, two nieces and one nephew.
