Joseph A Vallot, Jr, 83, of Beaumont, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was the son of Aimee Pommier and Joe Vallot, Sr. Joe was born on January 11, 1931, in Youngsville, Louisiana, and was the fifth of eleven children. He graduated from Youngsville High School and joined the United States Marine Corps, where he was stationed in Camp Pendleton, California, rising to staff sergeant. While in California, he met the love of his life, Dolores Castello. Joe and Dolores were married and moved to Beaumont, where he worked and retired from Gulf States Utilities in 1993. Joe is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Dolores; five children, Mary Beth Woodall; Jo Ann Vallot; Joe Vallot III and his wife, Charlotte; Gina Heinlein; and Susan Vallot; eleven grandchildren, Tiffany, Chris and his wife, Nicole, and Jason Woodall, Lauren Rogers, Amber Riedmueller and her husband, Gerald, Jessica Foreman and her husband, Bryce, and Joshua and Jacob Heinlein; and two great-grandchildren, Carter Foreman and Bailey Woodall. He is preceded in death by parents; and four sisters, Florence, Pearl, Thelma, and Dale. A gathering of Mr. Vallot s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Broussard s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 28, 2014, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5075 Bigner Road, Beaumont, with his entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. A reception will be held at St. Pius following the entombment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5075 Bigner Road, Beaumont, Texas 77708-5202. |
