Linda was born May 1, 1939 in Hattiesburg, MS, where she resided for 18 months. She then moved to Port Arthur, Texas with her parents Beryl and George Adams where she lived for the next 26 years.

Linda was employed by Gulf States Utilities in Beaumont, TX from 1964-1980, when she retired she was a Senior Engineering Assistant.

On March 8, 1980 Linda married the love of her life Ted Tomlinson and she became a domestic engineer. When Ted became ill she lovingly and faithfully cared for him for 10 years in their home. In 1998 her mother came to live with them and she cared for her as well.

Linda's father, George Adams; mother, Beryl and husband, Ted Tomlinson preceded her in death. She leaves to celebrate her life: daughter and close friend, Vicki Kimble and her husband Jim of Port Arthur; granddaughters Sheree Will and her husband, Donnie of Vidor; Brigette Johnson and her husband Aaron of Buna; great-grandchildren Jordan Will of Beaumont, Jason Will, Haley Will, Jonathon Vigeon all of Vidor; Nicholas Johnson, Janika Johnson and Joseph Johnson all of Buna; a great-great grandson Sean Durham, Jr of Vidor and one godson William McCall of Nederland.

A celebration of Linda's life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel. A gathering of family and friend will begin a 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
