Roy Edward Cowart, 93, longtime resident of Nederland, Texas, died May 16, 2021. He was born September 12, 1927 in Beaumont, Texas, the son of Dorothy Ibeck and Bernice B. Cowart of Beaumont, Texas. Roy worked for Gulf States Utilities retiring after 44 years of service. Roy married Jacquelene Klein in 1951. They resided in Nederland, Texas. Jackie Cowart passed in 2013.

Roy's legacy will be continued and remembered by his two children, Steven Cowart of Austin, Texas, and Cheryl Cowart Davis of Austin, Texas; his grandchildren, Cody Cowart, Mikael Cowart, Taylor Cowart, Spencer Davis and Brandon Davis of Austin, Texas; and sister, Karen Eller of Beaumont, Texas.

Celebration memorial services will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3515 Helena Ave, Nederland, Texas. Family will be available starting at 1PM, reception following the service.
