Florine Pat Fukes of Beaumont, Tx, passed away on June 8, 2021, at Harbor Hospice.

Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at First Christian Church, 5290 N Caldwood, Beaumont, Tx Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday, June 14, 2021, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins, in Beaumont.

Pat was a resident at Calder Woods for several years. After High School graduation in Bay City, Tx, she attended TCU two years, but loved beckoned. Pat withdrew from college to marry Geo Fukes. That union lasted 53 years, until George's death in 2003. Geo and Pat loved and shared the outdoors with friends at the "retreat" as well as wonderful trips in their motor home to state and national parks.

Pat retired from Gulf State Utilities. She worked for over 30 years in the Human Resources Employment Department.

She was a member of First Christian Church where she served as a Board Chair, Board Secretary, Elder, Member of Council of Elders, Chair of Diaconate, Deacon, Financial Assistant to Treasurer, President Christian Women's Fellowship, President Golden Circle Class, Teacher/Junior Class, and Chaired a number of Departments through the years.

She was a member of Church Women United (ecumenical group of various denominations) she served as Secretary and President.

She was a member of the Pilot Club for over 40 years where she served as Secretary, Treasurer, President and various committee chairs in the local Club. She served the Texas District (State) as Secretary, Treasurer, Lt Governor, Anchor Coordinator and numerous Committee Chairs. She received the "Green Jacket Award" for her years of service to the District.

She was a member of the Beaumont Enterprise Empty Stocking Fund, Christmas Bureau where she served at Vice President and 3 years as President.
