Bettie Landrum Bibb, 83, of China, died Monday, November 21, 2022. She was born on June 17, 1939, to Dollie May Whiteman Landrum and Henry Elmer Landrum, in Newton.

We have been very blessed to be in the presence of my mom. She always encouraged us to become the best person that we could be. She loved gardening and always wanted to be outside planting, pruning, and gathering flowers. She loved plumerias and was a member of the Native Plant Society. Whatever she did she was always humming or singing a Godly tune. Therefore, it makes sense she was in the Sweet Adeline's singing group. We could never have found a more loving and Christian woman. Her every thought was making our lives better and guiding us towards God. We know that God has welcomed her home and that she is already practicing in His Heavenly choir.

Survivors include her children, Christopher Robin Simmons and his wife, Melissa, of Valdosta, Georgia; Jessica "Rinda" Phelps and her husband, Daryl, of China; Joby Wayne Simmons and his wife, Wendy, of Winonna; Preston Allen Simmons and his wife, Sherri, of Sour Lake; Julie Mead and Lori Sanders, both of Beaumont; and Jodie Brown and her husband, Curtis, of Longview; grandchildren, Devon Jackson and her husband, Michael; Cody Edwards; Logan Edwards and his wife, Dominique; Charis Phelps; Rolan Phelps; Amber Brock and her husband, Brandon; Hayden Simmons; Will Simmons; Wade Simmons; Nate Simmons; Blake West; Carmen Sanders; Jordon Brown and his wife, Victoria; Hannah Barnes and her husband, Joshua; Becca Brown; and Katie Brown; numerous great-grandchildren; and many friends, coworkers, and church family members through the years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Nathan Edward Bibb.
