Isa Fay Holland Williams, "Fay", 96, met her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, surrounded by family at her residence in Beaumont, Texas. Born on February 22, 1928, in Grand Saline, Texas, Fay moved to Beaumont with her family in 1942. She graduated from South Park High School in 1946 and worked as a hairdresser before she became a PBX Operator with Gulf States Utilities. She met her late husband, Joseph W. Holland, Sr., "Billy", through mutual friends, and later married in 1946. The two made their home in Beaumont and together raised their three children. She was a long time member of Pine Burr Baptist Church in Beaumont and later a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Milam, Texas. After losing Billy to lung cancer, she met C.A. Williams. They were married and lived on the lake in Hemphill, Texas, where she truly enjoyed the outdoors. After C.A. succumbed to cancer, Fay eventually moved back to Beaumont where she resided until her death. Fay had a unique way of telling you exactly what she thought and never met a stranger. She enjoyed reading, sewing, puzzles, playing bridge and dominoes. She loved Jesus and was proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Fay is survived by her three children, Debbie Johnson and her husband Bill of Forney, TX; Darlene Smith and her husband Ron of Longview, TX; Joseph W. Holland, Jr., M.D. and his wife Becky of Beaumont; her niece, Ann Childers and her husband John of Kingwood, TX; grandchildren, Dallas Thornton, PhD. and his wife Stacie of Seattle, WA; Joseph W. Holland, III, D.D.S. and his wife Elise of Houston; April Holland Pearce and her husband William Pearce, M.D. of Beaumont; her great grandchildren, Arielle, Noelle, Dallas, Isabelle and Annabelle Thornton; Joseph, IV and Megan Holland; William and Henry Pearce. Fay is preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph W. Holland, Sr., her second husband, C.A. Williams, her parents, Nora and Andrew Hanson, and her sisters, Johnnie Bell, Katherine Patillo, and Christine Goodman. The family would like to thank the staff at Collier Park, Jefferson Home Health, Harbor Hospice, Tommie Andrus, Sonda Broussard, Tammy Dugas, and Jennifer Johnson for their kindness and support during Fay's final days. Fay will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choosing. A Celebration Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in Seasons Garden at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. | |||||
