Bobby Joe Willis, died January 29th, 2025, ending an 88-year lifetime of accomplishments. In his formative years. he made his profession of faith in Jesus Christ. He was a product of the Bogalusa School system and a veteran of the United States Army before graduating from LSU. Using his knowledge of accounting, he labored throughout decades of employment with Gulf States Utility Company. (later Entergy) achieving career enhancing promotions which elevated his qualifications to serve positions as treasurer, comptroller, chief financial officer, and vice president of accounting for these corporations.

He was the son of Otto and Wilda Mae Mitchell Willis; the father of Steve and Lisa Willis, Tammy Jo and KB Warren, Toni Jo and Jerry Statum, The brother of Jimmy Willis, and the late Johnny Willis; and the grandfather of five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren. And he loved a host of friends and close relatives

The fate of Bobby Joe Willis will be determined by Providence.

Funeral services will be held at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until services, Monday at the funeral home.
