Ronald Dean Streitmatter, 82, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016.

He was born in Peoria, Illinois and was a resident of Ragley. He was a member of New Life Pentecostal Church and the senior center in Moss Bluff.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Thompson Streitmatter of Ragley; sons, Robert Streitmatter of Moss Bluff and Randal Tracy Streitmatter of Magnolia, TX; step son, David Rasmus of Seattle, WA; daughter, Rhonda "Cookie" Streitmatter Pair of Montgomery, TX; step daughter, Sharon Doucet of Moss Bluff; brothers, Don Streitmatter of Princeville, IL, Christian Streitmatter of Michigan and Lee Streitmatter of Princeville, IL; sisters, Eileen Sullivan of Jacksonville, FL, Pat Carter of Peoria, IL and Mary Lou Devos of San Diego, CA; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Dean Streitmatter, Jr.; his parents, Paul and Emily Streitmatter; brother, Roger Streitmatter; and sister, Linda Ford.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 11, 2016 from 9am until service time at 1pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Burial will be at Old Ritchie Cemetery.
