From a co-worker: Lafayette, a USAF Veteran, was a long time GSU employee at Nelson Station in the Mechanical Maintenance group on the G&O Nisco side.

As far as I know, he was employed there at least 10 years, and was there before and after the merger. He always seemed like a good person to be around, and to work with.

Note: Shortly after he passed, his wife and son both passed in 2025. His wife worked in the Calcasieu Parish Tax Assesor's office, and I am sure I have seen her there in the past.
