Harry Breeden

Harry O. Breeden Sr. A resident and native of Baton Rouge, he died at 2:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary. He was 77.

Visiting at Zoar Baptist Church on Monday, March 2, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3, from 9 a.m. until a Masonic service at 9:30 a.m. Religious service at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. T.W. Terrill. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Survived by his wife of 60 years, Lena Lillian Wells Breeden; a daughter, Paula Jennings; two sons, Harry Breeden Jr. and wife JoAnne, and Lyndon K. Breeden Sr. and wife Sandy; seven grandchildren, Timmy Breeden, Tonya Thomas, Toni Robertson, Brandon Jennings, Tracy Jennings, Lyndon Breeden Jr. and Jacob J. Breeden; and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, Earnie K. Sr. and Hattie Collier Breeden; sister, Roena Robinson; and two brothers, Col. Earnie K. Breeden Jr. and Rufus K. Breeden.

Pallbearers will be Timmy Breeden, Lyndon Breeden Jr., Jacob Breeden, Brandon Jennings, Travis Robertson and Jamie Decote. He was a member of Zoar Baptist Church, a former member of Lanier Baptist Church and a master Mason for Istrouma Lodge 414 and P.W.G.P. Order of the Eastern Star. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Charles Thompson, Susie Day, a family friend and caregiver, and to the members of Zoar Baptist Church for all the special needs that were provided to the family.
