Calvin Hall
Calvin N. Hall, age 84, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at a local hospital. A World War II Army Veteran, he was a member of Sale Street Baptist Church where he was a deacon for many years and chairman for the church building and grounds. He was very involved in his community through coaching baseball and being a troop leader for Boys Scouts of America.

In October of 1986, he retired from Gulf State Utilities. Following his retirement, he was an active volunteer member of Louisiana Campers on Mission. Mr. Hall was also an avid gardener and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Evelyn Hoffpauir Hall of Lake Charles; two daughters, Cindy Hall Rogers and husband, James of Lake Wales, FL and Donna Hall Weber and husband, Sam of Lake Charles; one son, Calvin Lynn Hall and wife, Anne Marie of Austin, TX; one sister, Mildred Hall Derouen of Woodland Park, CO; one brother, James R. Hall of Carriere, MS; seven grandchildren, Tommy Tully, Clay Rogers, Caleb Waldmeier, Anna Doyle, Austin Hall, Julia Weber, and Ryan Hall; and four great-grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2009, at Sale Street Baptist Church. Bro. Ernest Walker will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 21, 2009, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will resume at the church on Saturday, August 22, from 9 a.m. until time of service.
