Emma Dru McMickin

Emma Dru McMickin, age 92, passed away on Sunday September 11, 2011 of Beaumont, Texas. She was born December 31 1918 to parents, Dru and Pearl McMickin of Beaumont Texas. She graduated from LSU and Lamar University, after graduation she was employed as a secretary for Gulf States Utilities for 42 years. She also was a devoted member of Eastern Star Chapter 71 for over 50 years. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Beaumont, a volunteer at Baptist Hospital for over twenty years. Miss McMickin was a great enthusiast of Animal Welfare and she helped many people through her support and kindness as a volunteer. She also was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan and showed her loyalty and support of the team. A viewing will be on Friday, September 16, 2011 from 5 till 7 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 4955 Pine Street Beaumont Texas. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 11 am in the Forest Lawn Funeral Chapel. Internment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont Texas.
