Tommy Lavelle Cassell, 76, of Lake Charles, LA passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 with his loving wife, Linda by his side. Tommy was born on October 12, 1940 in Lake Charles to Charles and Bernice Meek Cassell Sr.

Tommy was a 1958 graduate of LaGrange High School. He attended McNeese State University where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 1976.

Tommy retired from Entergy after 30 years, serving as a Storeroom Supervisor. After retiring, he worked another seven years as a Storeroom Supervisor at McJunkin Conoco.

Tommy was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Faye Martin Cassell and Carol Chaney along with his brother Charles H. Cassell, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Cormier Cassell, his son Kurt (Ashley) Cassell of Friendswood, TX, his daughter Ashley Cassell of New Orleans, LA., along with the "son of the heart", Warren Frazier. He also leaves his grandchildren, Alexandria (Ben) Edwards, Victoria Cassell, Adrianna Cassell and Eli Bradford.

The family would like to extend a special word of gratitude to the staff at Amedisys along with their many friends and family who showed their love and support.

The family will receive friends at Johnson Funeral Home on Saturday, August 12, 2017, from 11AM until 3PM. A rosary will be said beginning at 2PM followed by the funeral service at 3PM.
