Elisha Anderson Wattley Sr. Was born December 2, 1949 to the late William Boyd Wattley Sr. and Ethel Esprit Wattley. Elisha was born, raised and resided in Lake Charles, LA at his time of death. He attended Second Ward Elementary School, W. O. Boston High School and McNeese State University. While attending McNeese State University, Elisha Pledged Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Elisha later pursued his Career as an Electrician by accepting a position at Entergy, where he retired after 34 faithful years of service.

Elisha was a "gentle giant" who had a heart of gold. He was kind, caring, loving and extremely compassionate. He was a man of few words and understood that love is more about actions than mere words. Elisha or affectionately referred to as "Pop" by his grandchildren could often be found playing with his grandchildren, letting them climb on his neck, his lap and wherever they would fit, Pop just loved the kids. Family was extremely important to Elisha. If his family was ok, he was okay and when I say family, I mean nieces, nephews, cousins, children and grandchildren, he loved and cared for his entire Family.

Elisha married the love of his life, Bernadine, on December 4, 1994. Elisha and Bernadine shared 26 amazing years of marriage. His hobbies included Barbecuing, playing spades and domino

Elisha was raised in the church and gave his life to Christ at a early age. He rededicated his life to Christ and fully submitted to Gods plan by joining Blake Street Church of Christ and then being baptized. He was Proceeded in death by his Parents, William Boyd Wattley Sr. and Ethel Esprit Wattley and His brother William Boyd Wattley Jr. He leaves to honor his memory his Lovely wife, Bernadine Wattley of Lake Charles, LA, One sister Idaand her Husband Herbert Green of Lake Charles, LA,One brother Willie Denmond of Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. His sons Elisha Wattley of Lake Charles and Dwayne Young of Fort Worth, Tx. His daughters, Elysia Wattley, Terrionne Gordon and Latarsha Arceneaux all of Lake Charles, LA. Tameka Arceneaux of San Diego, Ca. 21 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
