Albert Richard

Albert Richard, 85, of Groves, Texas passed away on Monday December 21, 2009 at a Private Care Facility in Groves. He was born October 9, 1924 to Eve Lecamu Richard and Odressie Richard in Loreauville, Louisiana. He has been a resident of the Port Arthur/Groves area for over 64 years. Albert served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He retired from Gulf States Utilities as a supervisor with over 30 years of service. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur. Visitation will be on Tuesday December 22, 2009 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 P.M. at St. James Catholic Church-Day Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday December 23, 2009 at St. James Catholic Church. Reverend J. C. Coon will serve as celebrant. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Clayton Thompson. He was preceded in death by his wife Lula Mae Tweedel Richard and his son Dale Richard. He is survived by his daughters Donna Richard of Austin, Texas, Debby Lynch and husband Mike, Cynthia Richard both of San Antonio, Texas, Anna Knowles of Groves, Texas, his sons Albert Richard, Jr. and wife Mona of Dallas, Texas, Craig Richard and wife Cori-Ann of Hemet, California, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren along with two sisters-in-law Jeanette Richard of Groves, Texas and Lily May Richard of Loreauville, Louisiana as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
